Hudson Crossing Apartments

I have lived at Hudson Crossing for over 12 years and it has and continues to be a great place to live.Not just for the usual reasons of great location, cleanliness, 24 hour doorman, great apartment, gym, dry cleaning drop-off, ATM, outdoor space with BBQ grills but because of the amazing on-site management and maintenance teams. This to me is the best! The recent updates to the building lobby & interior hallways, outdoor deck space and most recently the laundry room have been really nice too. In all the years I've been here the concierges, service technicians & porters have been outstanding when it comes to the day to day responsibilities and maintenance. They are friendly and quick to address any issues not only with the building but with my apartment, which I'm happy to say have been minimal. This also goes for the great on-site leasing team and even the management company Equity Residential who have worked with me over the many years to make it easy to continue leasing and enjoying my home.Sincerely Tony

Hudson Crossing is a great place to live and the management is excellent! I took over a lease here May 2016 and they couldn't have made it any easier to do so -- no nickle and dime fees, no nonsense -- just an easy approval and an easy move-in. I've since renewed once and recently transferred to a large apartment -- again they made it seamless.The staff is incredible - extremely friendly and nice, extremely responsive, and a joy to be around. I've even had visitors comment on how terrific the doormen and staff are. I've never had an issue with the apartment and any small thing are fixed day-of. I highly recommend this building to anyone looking for a great place to live.

I've been living at Hudson Crossing for almost two years now. I have no plans on moving anytime soon. No major issues - general things break or need replacement every now and then BUT the maintenance team is quick to respond. Alex in the leasing office is a great addition to the property. In my past experiences with management/leasing offices they generally do not care or are just rude, but she is always polite/respectful. The doorman are friendly and really go above and beyond, A+++. The location could not be more convenient to transportation and Brooklyn Fair is the grocery store just across the street with my favorite cup of coffee!

I've been living at Hudson Crossing for almost two years, and I'm very happy with the building. The doormen are friendly, the maintenance staff are quick to respond and efficient, and the apartments are nice. My favorite part about the building is the terrace. It's wonderful for summer BBQs and gatherings. The only complaint I have is that there's been an empty space on the ground floor for the last 2 years I've been here, and it would be nice if they turned it into a lounge or study area. I've talked to other residents in the building, and it would make us all happier if they converted that space into some sort of social space/chilling area.

I've lived here at Hudson Crossing for just over a year, and have no intention of moving. For New York, the rent is pretty inexpensive, and the location is a little west, but definitely within walking or short uber rides from just about anything you'd need. The service team is amazing, and tend to everything quickly and so professionally. The concierge team is awesome as well, and they are always so helpful and going above and beyond to take care of things for you. Wash and fold service in the building is definitely a plus, it's pretty inexpensive and keeps you from having to wait for your laundry downstairs (welcome to new york!).

This is regarding my experience touring this apartment as a prospective tenant. Ughhh....gosh this place was a big let down and well, gross. It was one of those places that you cannot wait for the tour to end and get as far away as possible! First is location. It is on the rougher side of the Midtown West/Javits Center. Walking from the A/C/E 42nd Street station, you pass the drug addicts near Port Authority, the dirty busses idling on 9th Avenue, and many indigents hanging around on the corners. Also, if you drive, it is important to know that the apartment is right near the entrances/exits to the Lincoln Tunnel, so 9th Avenue and 10th Avenue back up for at least 10-15 blocks leading up to the apartment DAILY after 3pm. Not ideal. There are def safer and more aesthetically pleasing areas of Manhattan for this cost. The tour of the apartment. Ok. So, I reserved a tour time at 3pm. I arrived at 2:45pm and the maintenance man at the desk was talking to his co-worker and while I was standing there said, "I am not working a f*cking minute more past three. You handle that." Awkwardly, I stand there and he ignores me. He then turns and says, "Yes?". Are you kidding me?? The building manager arrives to give me the tour. She is ghetto acting and just crass. In the hall while walking, she asks, "So, what are you looking for and how much do you make?". A) I put what I was looking for in the online appointment request and B) I do not discuss my finances in public, in a hallway, and/or to someone when I do not even know if I want the apartment. She pushes and pushes the entire time of the appointment. Throwing out that all they care about is the credit score. You have it or you don't. The apartments: For a one-bedroom at $3,200 it was small, cramped, and gross. The ceilings are pretty low for NYC standards and the rooms don't get good lighting. Each of the rooms she showed me looked out to a small and sad-looking courtyard and the apartments across it faced you. The halls were dark and cheap looking. I wouldn't rent here even if their prices were slashed in half. The unprofessional staff and rough neighborhoods make this a big NO. Come on, if the staff is already this bad for a prospective tenant, god knows how bad they are after you move in and have a broken appliance!

I read all the scary articles about moving to NYC from anywhere and couldn't check this building out first. I'm highly confident I've won the lottery. I'm so happy to push myself through that rotating door at any hour & feel like I'm home. Yeah, there's some corporate rentals. It's kinda nice. Get to talk with new people in the elevator. :))

I just cannot believe the customer service just hang up my phone directly!I was a resident there last year. I moved out but had no time to change of my diploma mailing address. The doorman told me they had no right to open the mailbox until another resident move in the apt. So I kept checking the apt availability on Street-easy and hopefully got my diploma back soon.A few months passed and no one wanted the apt. (pretty wise decision since the apt never worth the money and the leasing office is not friendly at all.) I really need the diploma and called the leasing office. After learning my request, the person just hang up the phone directly!! Can you believe that??!! Impolitely hanging up the call?? Never choose the apartment!

I lived in Hudson Crossing for 2.5 years. The doormen and staff are very nice however, the apartment itself is subpar. There was nothing special about the building and it was especially in a bad location next to the entrance of the Lincoln Tunnel. You will have to adjust to the loud sounds in the morning. I especially had a bad experience moving out. There are strict policies on having COI and booking the elevator. I was charged cleaning and partial paint when I moved out - which is completely absurd. I would find another apartment to rent, this one isn't worth the money!

I had been forewarned that trying to find an apartment in NYC, could be compared to what one goes through to buy a home. It could be extremely stressful, you would have to react quickly and be prepared to settle with something you may like. It took me two years before I decided to venture out and find an new apartment on my own as my husband had not yet transferred to NYC.I started my apartment search with Hudson's Crossing in Hells Kitchen and the Mantena Apartments, that are part of Equity Residential. I took a one year break in between searching for an apartment in Hell's Kitchen. I had originally settled on the Mantena apartments, leasing agent Beth was extremely accommodating and allowed me to view several apartment layouts.In general the locations are great in being close to Penn Station, West Side parkway. Brooklyn Fare market is across the street and open till 11:00 for those last minute grocery needs. Plus unlimited restaurant choices!In the end I went with Hudson's Crossing. There I worked with Maria, who was also very accommodating and made my move seamless.I have been at Hudson's Crossing for 2 months. All staff and residents have been pleasant and friendly. When I moved in everything was clean and in working order. I have had to submit a minor service request, which was completed in a timely manner.Once I was ready to move forward with getting an apartment, my experience with Hudson's Crossing was pleasant, efficient and one that I will recommend.
