Pros:

I lived in Symphony house for about 2 years and had a great time. Here is the breakdown of my review:Building: The lobby has an elegant decor decor. The amenities include 24 hour concierge and doorman. I felt safe living here. The concierge is extremely helpful and the doormen are very welcoming. There is the exception of one doorman who could smile more - but he is not a bad guy. In fact, he may just help you out when you least expect it. Apartment: My apartment was on 41st floor. It was spacious for a Manhattan apartment with 3 walk-in closets. I had a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline. My apartment came with a balcony and I had a nice view of fireworks on 4th of July (great perk!)Laundry: There is laundry room on every floor. There are 2 washers and dryers for the entire floor. Sometimes I would have to wait to get a machine but I never really became a big problem. Location: Symphony house is in close proximity to all the cool NYC attractions. I was able to walk every where. This area is always busy which made me feel safe walking around at night. Noise: Very noisy neighborhood, there is a constant noise from ambulances, police cars, people etc. However, the noise did not interrupt my sleep but it maybe a problem for light sleepers. This is something you definitely adapt to overtime. However, you will probably notice it the first few days.
