Pros:

The building is absolutely gorgeous and kept up very well!! The amenities are top of the line. The concierge makes you feel like you are in a hotel. Related knows how to do things right. Maintenance will do anything you ask to make you happy! I will not be moving anytime soon!!

Pros:

Everything other reviewers are saying about the excellent staff is right. The building in the abstract is great.

Cons:

The problem is the construction, which nearly every review has pointed out. To pay a luxury price point and deal with that doesn't make any sense. Have lived here for about two years. The beginning was really nice, but after that it's been downhill because of the construction. I assure you that you will hear it, and just know that it goes on even on Saturday mornings. You cannot sleep in.

Pros:

I have just moved in here. The apartment is bliss and the building staff are just so pleasant and helpful. There is construction going on around the building but I honestly don't hear it, and I'm a very light sleeper. Wonderful place.

Pros:

I've been living here at the Abington almost a year now. Now whisk it's true there is a lot of construction going on, my apt is a blissful haven of peace and quiet. I feel like I'm in a gentle and sunlit cocoon of silence. I don't even hear my neighbors in any direction. Only because of my dogs acute hearing am I even aware of the hallways being vacuumed. Add to this a staff that bends over backwards to be polite , kind , and professional. It's so much more then a building its my home! The staff are like friends more then staff. I am always made to feel welcomed and no request of mine is ever ignored!I am writing this review with traffic backed up on 10 Th avenue and I'm seeing the traffic move like a silent movie. I see the actions but really don't hear the noise.

Cons:

A veneer of style disguises poor workmanship and too small, overpriced apartments filled with terminally trendy inmates, some of whom will a) steal your stuff if it's left in the hall or b) call the front desk to complain if it's not worth stealing. Plus, the building is situated in a construction zone. Dirt, noise at all hours, light pollution. It would be swell to let the breeze flow through, but that's not an option. Most frequently encountered neighbor? A construction worker. Most frequent neighborhood sound? Back up alarm. The views that were there when we moved in are getting blocked one by one by the new buildings going up all around.

Pros:

I have had a great experience living at Abington House. I honestly have no complaints. The concierges are personal, kind and helpful if I ever need their assistance (bringing in groceries, helping me find a good restaurant or relaxing place to grab a drink). The resident service specialist is really nice and is always willing to help find someone to help me fix or move anything in my apartment (such as moving in my new couch two weeks ago). It is such a beautiful building and all of the interiors are really well thought through. I have had a great time inviting my friends to grill on the sun terrace with a terrific view of NYC.Overall, I love living here, and I don't plan to move anytime soon.
