Building Reviews (1)
Tenant:
I moved into this building when it first opened in 1974 and lived there for nine years. Initially, my rent was $435.00 a month. It climbed to $670.00 before I left NYC in `83. It's just amazing to find on the net that my old, bland apartment is now a condo 'worth' $2,726,000 and rents for $2,950 a month. While the location in midtown was very convenient, the building and apartments are far from special. A one bedroom at 330 W. 56th consists of two shoeboxes. There's a tiny kitchen which opens on a small living room, a smaller, boxy bedroom and one tiny bathroom. Closet space is quite limited. Wow. Location, location, location.
