We moved to 66 Rockwell Pl a year and it has been a wonderful experience. We have enjoyed living here, using the amenities such as the rooftop and club lounge. The staff has been so great especially chris downstairs and the super.
My wife and I moved into 66 Rockwell in May and absolutely love it. Unlike everywhere we've lived in the city, they deliver excellent service with a smile. All of the staff are incredibly nice and accommodating. Alex our rental agent was genuinely interested in making our move in smooth and easy. The approval process wasn't the intrusive and intimidating process we're used to where our financial history and privacy are infringed. It was actually a very delightful process. We liked that the building sources from Brooklyn small businesses, and that its a blend of market rate and affordable units. The resident manager Enis and head concierge Chris, as well as Melanie, Angel, Marcus, Jamel, and one guy whom I'm forgetting his name that works the desk at night -- all really great people willing to help everyone out with any issue. Priya at the coffee window is so pleasant. The concierge dry cleaning people are amazing too. Can't say enough about these folks and the building itself. We highly recommend.
My husband and I have been living at 66 Rockwell place for a little over a month now and we couldn't be more pleased. From the move in process to the amenities and everyday assistance we receive from the staff, this building has definitely out done any building we have lived in and I imagine most if not all of the buildings we viewed before choosing 66 Rockwell. There is a very relaxed but extremely courteous and professional flow that truly sets the building apart. We're very happy with the choice we made and highly recommend 66 Rockwell Place.
Great amenities, super friendly staff, coy atmosphere, absolutely top notch doormen and doorwomen. Excellent food & entertainment choices in every direction
I moved to 66 Rockwell a year and a half ago and its the best decision I made. I love my apartment and wake up with a smile each morning. Its a great layout for a studio and well maintained. The building met all five of my requirements: concierge, elevator, gym, washer dryer in my apartment and a view. Its a well-equipped gym and I love the extra classes like pilates and yoga. Unfortunately I have not been able to try the hip hop, billy x and other classes. The management makes an effort with events. So far I've done tipsy painting, karaoke, comedy night, cooking with Brooklyn kitchen, July 4th fireworks and New Year eve. One of my favorite activities is Book club and I've made good friends as a result. The concierge crew is helpful and exceedingly friendly. I feel safe and glad to be home each time I walk into 66 Rockwell.
I moved into the building after subletting an apartment from another tenant. The experience has been great. The building is extremely well maintained. Staff is awesome and has always treated me with the utmost courtesy and respect. I want to make a special mention of the head concierge, Chris Ledesma, who has been great since the first time I met him when viewing my sublet. Chris is always courteous, professional, and friendly and was extremely helpful when I was dealing with complicated move-in logistics. While my time in the building might be short, it has been a great and extremely smooth experience.
I never write reviews and I opened a yelp account just for this. So know its a big deal. I've lived in apartments on the west side by West End Ave and in Yorktown on the east, but nothing compares to how I feel living here at 66 Rockwell Place. This Dermot company building has luxury written all over it. I've lived here for a little over two years now and have recently transitioned to a larger apartment I just needed to tell someone how wonderful everyone was and how easy everyone made it happen. Orisha is the building manager and makes life so much easier and answers every question I have. Alex made us so comfortable choosing our new apartment and even told us when the apartment we wanted was available right away. Enis is the resident manager who comes to help the same day you need something done and does it in the best manner possible. The front desk and valet help me with everything I need so I'm in and out with what I need. Iryna is the director of residential relations and is soooo nice when it comes to making it easy paying my rent and make my nights when I'm bored by planning movies nights and events and we even have kickboxing, yoga and Pilates to do when we need to let loose! There is a game room also when you want to pass your night with friends or a loved one which I need so I'm so glad we have this. You guys got the picture. I've babbled enough, but if anyone from management reads this, Thank you! And know I appreciate everything you do for all of us.
The building is amazing. The amenities--which include a free arcade, a zen garden, and a stellar rooftop--are unlike any others, and all of the staff is incredibly warm and friendly. I highly recommend this building to anyone looking to move to the Fort Greene area.
We moved into 66 Rockwell over a year ago! Johnny the old General Manager had a real eye for luxury. He put together a stellar team who have made living here like living in a hotel. Carlene who leased us the apartment and has been promoted is spot on! She knows all the tenants, makes us feel at home, quickly addresses issues and always is honest and finds a winning solution. What we love is she's not an email junky. She calls you or comes sees you and has a real personal way to make you feel important. She's been our anchor as the building has gotten new management and it's been a rough transition.Jose and Chris are the best concierges on the planet. They are kind and generous. They make you excited to come home with their amazing kind consistent greeting. They are problems solvers, air traffic control and never miss a beat. We appreciate their services greatly and appreciate they treat every guest and our 9 year old just as well as they treat us.Joshua takes great pride in our build helping people find the right home for them. We have sent several friends to look at our building as an option and he treats them with white gloves. We give the old team 5+ stars. The new General Manager has big shoes to fill and has had a few misses on hires/valet services. We are proud to live here and hope the owners of the building will continue to ensure we maintain the level of excellence.
I lived in this building for over a year. While it has a veneer of luxury and many of its apartments boast beautiful views, I'd recommend saving your money. The place is absolutely overpriced and management will try to nickel and dime you as a tenant. When they renewed me they tried to raise my rent considerably and charge me for amenities. The construction of the common areas was finished nearly 1 year later than promised and window coverings were 3 months late. The management rarely responds to emails. The construction is obviously rental focused: thin walls, sloppy finishes, small kitchens and drawer space. I had a very slow shower drain during my lease and had maintenance work on it twice. They finally gave up and said they didn't know why it backed up. For a very up and coming area, the prices are not worth it. If you want to pay this price level, I'd recommend Brooklyn Heights.
I stayed at 66 Rockwell for nearly a week during this Christmas season and it was fabulous. From the friendly and conscientious doormen, the beautifully decorated lobby to the apartment itself, nothing could have been better. I'd stay again when I'm in New York again.
