I love living here.. I regard it as one of the best buildings in all of NYC. The team that runs it does a flawless job and are always super fast to respond, doormen are excellent, amenities are amazing, and lastly the neighborhood is a gem all around. Bravo to the 101 Bedford team.
I've lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn for 25 years in too many rental apartments to count. 100% of my landlords were evil, neglectful or both. This place is such a breath of fresh air. If you have an issue you note it on the app and it's magically fixed usually by the next day. The building is spotless and the amenities are incredible. If there were 3 bedroom or bigger apartments I'd be happy here for the rest of my life.
Been living here for 3 months and the building is amazing with unbelieveble amenities, but the best part is the team that works here, from the Joe that welcomes you to the building and makes it easy for you to lease, to Megan, the lifestyle director that organizes social activities all the time, from movie nights, live music and painting sessions! All maintenance and concierges are super polite and friendly! Great people living here and great area!
101 Bedford is simply beyond... the amenities are amazing, the doormen quickly feel like besties while providing 5 star service, and the apartment is gorgeous. Thank you Joe Ackerman for being so helpful in our move and consistently a happy face around the building.PS - the $600/year amenity fee is completely worth it as a gym membership anywhere else is more than that, plus you get a movie theater, biz center, pool, game room, roof top with grills, etc.Couldn't recommend more!
Joe was so beyond helpful and easy to work with and this building has legit been the most epic place I've ever lived in NYC and I've lived here for 10+ years. The doormen are amazing, the service is spot on, the amenities are INCREDIBLE and we are SO SO happy. Thank you so much!!!!
Ive lived at 101 Bedford for over a year now, and I don't know how anyone could complain or give anything but high remarks for the building, its amenities, and its staff. Joe Ackerman helped us find our current 1 bedroom, and he was extremely friendly, straightforward, and easy to work with- he is the man! It disappoints me that people give lackluster reviews to a building that offers an Equinox-style gym (with a steam room and hot tub), an amazing rooftop, a movie theatre, and about 10 other crazy things you would never dream of having access to at any other apartment complex. It makes me wonder where else people have lived that make 101 Bedford seem average. Because it is anything but that.
I have lived in this building just over one year and intend to move within the building to a higher floor. The building is run efficiently and the common areas are kept very clean by a seemingly tireless staff. Maintenance requests have always been dealt with promptly. The building is less than two years old and there were a few teething problems regarding the use of the amenities, in particular recognizing the need to develop rules for using the (stunning) roof deck. The pool/hot tub/ steam room and changing rooms are pleasant and tastefully designed. These are the only amenities I use, so I can't really speak for the gym or the playroom etc. It is worth noting that the amenities are not run by the building's management and are run by a separate entity. The apartment finishes are high quality and large windows allow for plenty of light, even on the lower floors. The windows are very sound proof but when they are open you can hear traffic. Apartment building living is not my thing but this is where we are for now for various reasons and I feel that we did well to find this building, its location and the proximity to McCarren Park. I would also like to add, having read a few of the other reviews, that the building definitely accepts applications from non-US residents because, like us, there are many people living in the building from places other than the US. Our application was processed with no hitches and the management have always been polite and friendly to us.
Firstly - we don't move in until mid-Feb. We did a few tours of this place prior to signing up. We were looking for a doorman building but were pretty surprised by the level of amenities on offer. The finish on the apartments looked good and the locations is brilliant (right on the park and near to the L) so we decided to sign up. We'd read the reviews and have low expectations from the building hospitality - I hope we're wrong - the building we're moving from had a great vibe. The process has been made easy by Joe, he gave us a number of showings, some of which were last minute. He's been quick to reply to calls, texts and emails. He's been informative and really easy to get on with - if living here matches up to dealing with Joe that will be great. We'll update this post after a few months of living there to see if that is the case!

Nice building. Management is strict. The door men/women are very nice. Amenities are good, but the steam room is broken all of the time.
