Pros:

I moved in to this building around 6 months ago or so. I love the building and the neighborhood. It took us a long time to find the right apartment and we feel we found one for the long haul! As a work from home Mom, I'm always needing help from the Super - he's always around and quick to respond. The building was new construction when we moved in so the heating system needed powering up when we moved in. Within a few minutes after putting our boxes down, the super was there and took care of it. When I find the time to use the gym, it's super convenient to have a state of the art one right upstairs!

Pros:

Took me a while to post this review.I moved into the Billiard Factory Lofts about a year ago, with my family. Was an adjustment moving from my Midwood neighborhood, but the area is amazing. Restaurants, parks- we absolutely love it.The building and apartment were what we were looking for. A spacious 2 bedroom with great amenities. Management has been responsive from the day we moved in. Had a fixture issue in one of the bedrooms at move in- someone showed up same day, and we realized it was actually a problem with our own bulbs. Problem fixed and never been an issue since. My wife uses the gym regularly, and the lounge is very pleasant. With another child on the way, we're currently trying to figure out how we can continue living here, because we couldn't be happier.

Cons:

I hope this rating helps both present and future tenants of the Billiards Lofts building. I am a patient individual with a high tolerance for growing pains of new business. These apartments are positioned as luxury rental apartments, and command those prices accordingly. However, 5 weeks in the growing pains seem to be systematic issues:Specific:-Management response time is abysmal. This is the most unforgivable of any complaint, because it is the easiest to fix.-Apartment construction leaves much to be desired / is underwhelming (paper thin front doors, strange electrical wiring)-My back patio is on a significant slope, which I was assured would be rectified after move in. Not only will management not address the issue, they simply will not respond.-Common areas are kept in very below average condition, dusty, nails and screws floating in the stairwells.-The basics do not run smoothly: front door locking and unlocking, package room - always somethingRecently in a strange occurence, I posted to the building internal message board the offer of an "open house" in our apartment to meet more folks in the building on a Saturday afternoon, but the message was unapproved and not posted internally by management. I am very forgiving of growing pains. I am a business owner and am the first to give forgiveness to individuals attempting to create new businesses in new environments. However, I do not have tolerance for cutting corners and unresponsiveness, this breaks the promise of a group to work in "good faith", and leaves customers frustrated. In this situation - my wife and I have chosen to make a long term bet on the Prospect Heights neighborhood, and did so with Billiards Factory Lofts. The results have left us underwhelmed, and I hope you find this review helpful if you are seeking a home in Prospect Heights.
