Cons:

Awful building. I lived in it for a year. The building is riddled with mold which is transferred through the apartments through the HVAC systems. I doubt most people are even aware of it, but the maintenance staff sure is, and I can bet the Board knows as well. Not sure how they continue to live there. I doubt it can even be remediated since one of the maintenance guys once told me that every time they have to open a wall or ceiling because of a leak, they can see the mold everywhere. There is just no way to get rid of it all, and most of it is toxic mold ( I did two mold tests and had them analyzed). Toxic mold can make you extremely ill. The windows are old and corroded and the cost of replacement falls squarely on the shoulders of the residents. The buildings pay for none of it, and I believe that in a year or two it will be mandatory for all new buyers to replace the windows. The cost for a roughly 2400 square foot apartment would be about $250,000 and that does not even include the cosmetic work required after they are replaced. Black soot manages to come through closed windows, and along with the mold there is white dust coming from the HVAC vents which coats everything, especially plastic. A good bit of the time one or more elevators goes out. Trump junior lives there, and I keep wondering if he knows what his family is being exposed to. There are a lot of notables living there, and they are clueless. So glad I got out when I did.
