Pros:

Let me start by say the leasing office, esp. Yigal is very nice and the concierge staff are friendly enough, as well.

Cons:

My problem is with the management, which is extremely poor. For the past two weeks or so, I have been dealing with a fly infestation in my apartment. I told the concierge and they directed me to their boss, Luis, who is the manager. I told Luis the problem and brought in an exterminator who found the problem in the garbage disposal. Instead of removing the garbage disposal as most luxury apartments would do, they simply sprayed the drain with big spray. Nonetheless, the problem returned and this time they agreed to switch out the garbage disposal, however afterwards took pictures of the remnants of my breakfast (a couple egg shells and stains on the cooker) and some cardboard boxes, which had been delivered the day before and blamed me for the infestation. All of these pictures were taken without my consent and I am currently taking that up with the city housing authority. Regardless, when I confronted them with the knowledge that this problem has been ongoing for a while and that flies don't feed on eggshells, live in cardboard boxes or hatch for at least five days. In turn, I simply asked for an apology for the photos and a promise that it wouldn't happen again, in return for not suing. Instead, I was directed to Gary, who seems to be some hot shot at HQ(or at least he thinks so). Gary called me the next day to attempt to "resolve" the problem, but in the end, just yelled at me. Regardless, he didn't apologize and continued to blame me for the infestation, despite as I had explained earlier that my apartment was neither damp, dark or abundant with food. Regardless, save yourself the trouble and find another "luxury" apartment in the area. For the $3,000 I pay a month for a studio, you'd think that the service would be better, I wouldn't have to pull teeth to get them to change the garbage disposal and that I would at least not be blamed for the problem (which they had already agreed to remedy).

Cons:

The facility, concierge, and doorman are actually all quite nice, but the biggest issue for me is the extremely unprofessional leasing office. More than half of the time there is no one in the office, and no one ever picks up the phone (over almost 2 years I called them more than 15 times). Responses to email are really slow and often times missing information you seek. After living here for 2 years I simply could not put up bullshit with the leasing office anymore and decided to move out. Such a disgrace.
